Ingredients
2 oranges
6 cherry tomatoes
1 Burrata cheese
8 fresh basil leaves
1 tbsp & 1 tsp vinegar
olive oil, to taste
(A) 1 tbsp Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Less Salt Soy Sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cornstarch
2 tsp water
(B) 15 g roasted almonds
1 g Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Less Salt Soy Sauce
Method
- Peel the oranges over a bowl. Keep any juice that spills into the bowl. Quarter the cherry tomatoes. Plate the oranges and tomatoes, then chill the entire serving dish in the refrigerator.
- Combine (A) ingredients (Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Less Salt Soy Sauce, sugar, cornstarch, and water) in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over low heat. When the sauce thickens, add the vinegar and 2 tbsp of the orange juice from step1 . Return to a boil while stirring constantly, then turn off the heat. Cool completely.
- Mix (B) ingredients (almonds and Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Less Salt Soy Sauce), then carefully layer the almonds on a sheet of aluminium foil so that they do not overlap. Grill in a toaster oven for 2 minutes until fragrant. Once cooled, crush the almonds into large pieces.
- Plate the Burrata on top of the chilled oranges and tomatoes, then sprinkle the basil leaves and crushed almonds over the salad. Drizzle with olive oil and the dressing from step 2.
Key tip
A refreshing trio of oranges, cherry tomatoes, and fresh basil leaves, tied together with a rich and creamy Burrata. Fragrant soy sauce-grilled almonds provide a playful accent while the orange-soy sauce glaze packs a zesty punch.
