How long will Kikkoman sauces last after opening?
Kikkoman Soy Sauce will keep for several months after opening. All products have BEST BEFORE dates printed on the back of the labels and should remain in good condition up to this date, provided they are refrigerated after opening.

Do I need to refrigerate my Kikkoman Soy Sauce?
Once opened, soy sauce will gradually lose its freshness, and its flavour will begin to change. Refrigeration helps maintain its flavour and quality for a longer period. As long as no water or other ingredients have been added, soy sauce will not spoil even if it is not refrigerated.

Do my other Kikkoman sauce products also need to be refrigerated?
Yes, they should be refrigerated after opening to preserve their quality.

Does Kikkoman make a gluten-free soy sauce?
Yes, Kikkoman Gluten-Free Soy Sauce is made from water, soybeans, rice (instead of wheat), and salt. It has the same flavour-enhancing qualities and superior taste as our regular soy sauce. It is also approved by the Australia and New Zealand Coeliac Society.

Is Kikkoman Soy Sauce made from genetically modified soybeans?
No, all Kikkoman sauces and marinades available in Australia are made using non-genetically modified (Non-GMO) soybeans and wheat.

Does Kikkoman Soy Sauce contain alcohol?
Yes, Kikkoman Soy Sauce contains alcohol from the fermentation process. It is naturally brewed, similar to wine or beer. During the fermentation process, wheat starches break down into sugars, and part of the sugar is converted into alcohol. The alcohol contributes to the aroma and overall flavour of the soy sauce. Kikkoman Soy Sauce contains approximately 1.5%–2% alcohol by volume.

No, Kikkoman Soy Sauce is naturally brewed and made only from soybeans, wheat, salt, and water. Kikkoman products contain only the ingredients listed on their labels.

No, Kikkoman Soy Sauce contains only four ingredients: soybeans, wheat, salt, and water. These ingredients undergo a natural fermentation process to create Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce.
